Client Service Agreement & Liability Waiver
By booking or receiving grooming services from Brush & Bubbles Mobile Grooming, LLC
(“Brush & Bubbles”), the Client (“Owner”) acknowledges that they have read, understood, and
agree to all terms outlined below.
1. Pet Eligibility & Health
Brush & Bubbles reserves the right to decline service to any pet at its discretion.
Pets must be fit and healthy. Grooming elderly, senior, or medically fragile pets is performed
at the Owner’s risk. Owners must disclose all known or suspected medical or behavioral
conditions, including but not limited to:

Heart disease, heart murmurs, heart failure

Respiratory conditions, collapsed trachea, brachycephalic syndrome
-
Intervertebral disc disease (IVDD)
-
Cruciate ligament tears, luxating patella, joint disorders, muscle strains, or other soft tissue injuries
-
Arthritis
-
Vestibular disease
-
Infections (skin, ear, bacterial, viral, yeast)
-
Skin allergies, dermatitis, hot spots
-
Seizure disorders
-
Recent veterinary procedures or injuries, including bruising or hematomas
If you fail to disclose information regarding any physical and/or medical conditions (such as
elbow or hip dysplasia, epilepsy, etc.), Brush & Bubbles will not be held responsible for any
injury incurred during the grooming process. It is the Owner’s responsibility to notify Brush
& Bubbles of any new medical information.
Dogs weighing over 45 lbs., new clients over 15 years old, pregnant or nursing dogs, and
puppies under 4 months of age are not accepted.
Certain breeds may not be suitable for mobile grooming environments, including but not
limited to: Pit Bulls, American Bulldogs, Cane Corsos, Rottweilers, Mastiffs, Bullmastiffs,
Presa Canarios, German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois, Dobermans, Alaskan Malamutes,
Akitas, Chow Chows, Great Danes, Saint Bernards, Great Pyrenees, and Newfoundlands.
2. Vaccination Requirements
Written proof of the following vaccinations from a licensed veterinarian is required:

Rabies
-
Distemper
-
Canine Parvovirus
Vaccines must be administered by a licensed U.S. veterinarian (titers or breeder vaccines are not accepted) at least 48 hours prior to the appointment. Verbal notice is not an acceptable
form of proof. Pets that do not meet requirements may have their appointments canceled.
3. Emergency Veterinary Authorization
In the event that a pet becomes ill or injured, the Owner hereby authorizes, but does not
require, Brush & Bubbles to seek veterinary care for the pet, in its sole discretion, at cost to
the Owner.
Brush & Bubbles will make reasonable efforts to contact the Owner before treatment
whenever possible. If the Owner cannot be reached, Brush & Bubbles is authorized to seek
veterinary care as necessary.
4. Grooming Risks & Medical Events
Grooming carries inherent risks, including but not limited to:

Minor cuts, scrapes, or abrasions
-
Clipper irritation, rash, or nail quicking
-
Muscle strains/tears, soft tissue injuries, or joint aggravation
-
Eye irritation, infection, squinting, hair, and/or debris in eyes.
-
Ear irritation, ear infection, or hematomas (including ears)
-
Skin irritation, allergies, dermatitis, hot spots, yeast infections
-
Respiratory distress, coughing, hacking, cyanosis, or hypoxia
-
Behavioral reactions: aggression, biting, escape
-
Stress-related bleeding, nose or gum issues
-
Stroke, seizure, collapse, cardiac events, or death (rare)
Brush & Bubbles will notify the Owner of any observed issues; services may be stopped
immediately if severe. Minor accidents (e.g., small nicks) are considered inherent risks.
If an injury is observed after the grooming appointment and is believed to be related to the
services provided by Brush & Bubbles, the Owner must notify Brush & Bubbles within forty-
eight (48) hours and obtain a veterinary evaluation within the same timeframe. The Owner
must also authorize the release of the veterinarian’s information to Brush & Bubbles for
review of any related expenses.
5. Grooming Services
Brush & Bubbles provides professional mobile dog grooming services by appointment within
designated service areas. Services are performed inside the Brush & Bubbles’ mobile
grooming vehicle. Owners are not permitted inside the grooming van.
Services may include, but are not limited to

:Bathing and drying
-
Nail trimming or grinding
-
Ear cleaning
-
Teeth brushing
-
Sanitary, paw, or eye area trimming
-
Full-body hair scissoring
-
Clipper work or shave-down
Services may be modified, discontinued, or refused at any time if:

Pet safety is at risk
-
Grooming cannot be performed safely
-
The pet shows aggression or severe stress
-
Coat condition prevents humane grooming
-
Required policies are not met
Pets that are elderly, aggressive, or easily stressed may not be safe to groom. If, at any time,
Brush & Bubbles feels they cannot safely complete the grooming process, they will return the
pet to your care. Payment will be due for the portion of the groom that was completed (time
involved). Under no circumstances can we guarantee the completion of a groom. Each pet can
react differently each time they are groomed. We attempt to groom each pet to the Owner’s
specifications, as far as the pet will tolerate and the coat condition and type allow.
Brush & Bubbles reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service at its sole discretion.
6. Matted Coats & Coat Regrowth
Brush & Bubbles has full discretion in determining whether the pet’s coat needs to be shaved.
In the event that matting is found, Brush & Bubbles is permitted to undertake dematting or
shaving procedures. The Owner acknowledges and agrees to this protocol.
Double-coated breeds are at higher risk of regrowth complications, even without matting.
Grooming may result in:

Coat color changes
-
Texture changes
-
Delayed, patchy, or permanent regrowth issues, including hair that may not grow backBrush & Bubbles is not responsible for appearance, coat changes, or skin reactions resulting from grooming. Grooming may reveal or exacerbate:
-
Skin irritation, bruising, or hematomas (including ears and other areas)
-
Hidden wounds or pre-existing injuries
-
Behavioral changes due to discomfort
7. Fleas, Parasites & Health Issues
Grooming may reveal: fleas, ticks, worms, ear infections, skin infections, yeast overgrowth,
ruptured anal glands, or broken/ingrown nails. Severe findings may require veterinary care;
grooming may be stopped or modified in the event of such findings.
Pets infested with parasites may require treatment at the Owner’s expense or service refusal.
Owner releases Brush & Bubbles from liability for future parasite-related issues.
8. Handling
Pets may be tethered or restrained for safety during the service. Muzzles may be used
temporarily when necessary. The Owner is solely responsible for ensuring pets are safely
secured before and after appointments. Brush & Bubbles is not liable for escapes, injuries, or
property damage under any circumstances, including but not limited to faulty collars,
harnesses, leashes, etc., provided by the Owner, Owner handling, or the pet’s unpredictable
behavior.
9. Aggressive Pet & Bite Liability
Brush & Bubbles reserves the right to halt the grooming process should a pet become
aggressive to the point of being a danger to the groomer or themselves. Full or part of the
grooming charge may apply. The Owner is responsible for all injuries caused by their pet.
Owner agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Brush & Bubbles from claims arising from pet
behavior. The Owner is financially responsible for any injury or property damage caused by
their pet to grooming equipment, the mobile grooming vehicle, employees, or surrounding
property.
In the event that the pet bites or otherwise causes injury to any individual during the grooming
process, the Owner hereby authorizes Brush & Bubbles to report said bite or injury to the
appropriate authorities. Furthermore, the Owner consents to the disclosure of their name and
contact information to medical providers involved in the treatment of the injured individual,
as well as to the injured party.
10. Payment & Fees
A valid credit or debit card may be required to book and maintain an appointment. Payment
is due at service completion. Accepted payment methods include cash or credit/debit card.
Cards are processed through secure third-party platforms and are subject to a processing fee.
Prices vary based on size, coat type/condition, matting, behavior, and grooming duration.
Add-on fees may apply:

Flea & tick treatment – $15
-
Dematting/excessive brushing or extended scissoring – $12 per 15 minutes
-
Extra handling support – $15
-
Travel fee – $15+ (at groomer’s discretion)
The Owner authorizes the card on file for all applicable charges, including completed services,
fees, and add-ons. Attempted chargebacks without resolution may result in collection actions
and legal fees.
11. Cancellations, Late Arrivals & No-Shows
24-hour notice required for cancellations/rescheduling. Cancellations with less than 24-hour
notice will incur a $50.00 fee. Late arrivals (>15 minutes) or inaccessible pets may result in a
full-service fee.
Brush & Bubbles reserves the right to cancel or reschedule appointments for any reason,
including but not limited to safety, weather, vehicle issues, pet behavior, or health concerns.
12. Mobile Grooming Access & Safety
The Owner must provide safe, level, accessible parking for the grooming vehicle. Parking
cannot obstruct traffic, block driveways, fire lanes, or be on steep inclines. Brush & Bubbles
may cancel or reschedule if safe access is not available.
13. Service Area & Travel Fees
Services are provided within designated service areas determined by Brush & Bubbles. At the
Brush & Bubbles’ discretion, services may be offered outside the standard service area for an
additional travel fee of $15 or other amount determined by Brush & Bubbles.
Service areas and travel policies may change at any time.
14. Treats, Toys & Promotional Items
Brush & Bubbles may provide pet-safe treats, toys, or gifts. The Owner assumes responsibility
for all ingestion, allergic reactions, choking, or injury. Allergies must be disclosed in advance.
15. Photo, Media & Surveillance
Brush & Bubbles may photograph or video pets for marketing, training, or documentation
purposes. No personal identifying information will be shared. The Owner may decline media
use by providing written notice prior to the appointment. In the event of an injury, Brush &
Bubbles may take photographs or videos of the injuries and reserves the right to share these
photos with the appropriate parties.
Video surveillance may be used in the grooming vehicle for safety and liability
documentation.
16. Arbitration & Dispute Resolution
All claims and disputes arising under or relating to this Agreement are to be settled by binding
arbitration in the state of Iowa. The arbitration shall be conducted on a confidential basis
pursuant to the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association. Any
decision or award as a result of any such arbitration proceeding shall be in writing and shall
provide an explanation for all conclusions of law and fact and shall include the assessment of
costs, expenses, and reasonable attorneys' fees.
17. Severability
If any provision of this Agreement shall be held or made invalid by a court decision, statute,
or rule, or shall be otherwise rendered invalid, the remainder of this Agreement shall not be
affected thereby.
18. Agreement & Acceptance
By signing digitally or booking services, the Owner acknowledges:

They are eighteen years or older
-
They have read and understood this Service Agreement

They accept inherent grooming risks
-
They agree to all fees, policies, and liability limitations
